This book paints a unique picture of Sardinia and made me feel the atmosphere of that era. The author's thoughts on morality and human nature are profound, just like Jane Austen's works, which are endlessly memorable. Pietro Bennu in the book reminds me of Mr. Darcy in Pride and Prejudice. They both have their own hesitations and contradictions. However, I don't really like the character of the hotel owner, I feel like he's a bit lazy. Overall, this is a book worth reading and recommended to friends who like to think about life.

The author's writing style is beautiful and delicate, and his imagination is rich. The fate of the protagonist touches people's hearts. After reading it, I can see that his words are profound and magnificent, but there is still little to say.
