Dreams and Spirits: A Culinary Record

[Episodic stories] + [Healing] + [Strong female lead] + [Metaphysics] + [Dreams]

I am a dream-eating tapir. Ever since I appeared in this world, I’ve lived on dreams for thousands of years, and I especially love eating good ones.

My lifelong dream is to taste the finest dream in all the world.

Sadly, after wandering through human dreams all these years, good dreams have become harder and harder to find, while nightmares cling like mud that just won’t wash off.

At this rate, I might become the first tapir ever to die of long-term malnutrition...

No, I need to think of something. I’ll root out the cause of these nightmares and cook up good dreams myself!

… …

I licked my lips, swallowing the saliva pouring into my mouth, then touched his forehead with a bright red fingernail and gave him a wicked grin. “I’m here to eat your... dreams!”
