Synopsis

A History of China's Official System presents the insights that Bai Hua, a specialist in Ming and Qing history, has gained from decades of research into the history of political institutions. Taking a broad, dynamic, and long-term historical perspective, it offers a comprehensive and systematic account of the origins, development, and evolution of administrative offices and officialdom. The chapters on the introduction, royal and imperial power, central institutions, local administration, clerks, and secretaries are especially engaging. The book consists of chapters on "The Formation and Development of China's Official System," "The System of Royal and Imperial Power," "Central Advisory Institutions," "Central Government Agencies and Principal Officials," "The Judicial and Censorial Systems," "The Military System," "The Fiscal System," "Local Administration," "Institutions for Education, Culture, and Public Health," "Clerks, Secretaries, and Household Staff," and "The Administration of Officialdom."

Looking for books like Jungian Psychology. Are there any books for OC inspiration or learning? I’m especially interested in Jungian psychology and personality typology, but feel free to recommend anything else too: religion, writing techniques, the occult, psychology, design, and so on.
