This book reminded me of the time I went to the theater with my grandparents as a child. Local opera is really our cultural treasure! The various opera types introduced in the book, such as Henan Opera and Yue Opera, are all very distinctive. And after reading this book, I can better understand the relationship between the opera and the local culture in each place, just like the book says, "A place where water and soil nourish a person, and a place of water and soil also breeds a kind of local opera." I think this book is a good introductory book for people who like opera and is worth reading!
