The Heavens, shadow troops, an empire, rapid expansion, a slightly overpowered protagonist, and a saintly, self-sacrificing lead. The worlds I’m really eager to visit later are mostly ones from novels that are incredibly fun or wonderfully surreal and anthropomorphic, plus a few definite destinations. Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, and Zenless Zone Zero might get fewer visits, since I don’t know much about their stories. I played the beginnings, but later didn’t have much time to keep going. As for the world of Honkai, we’ll see. I’ve only read a little of the manga, but I really want to go there. The person I most want to meet is Elysia, and the one I’m most curious about is Otto. People always say that a dead Otto is a good Otto, but I’m still curious.
The protagonist is childish, but his thoughts are far more unconventional than most people’s. He loves making dirty jokes and is weirdly obsessed with the feeling of courting death but somehow surviving.
Protagonists from every plane: Why are you everywhere?
Protagonist: You’re my lifelong nemesis.
Underlings: Loyalty. Though we often fight and kill one another for various reasons, we must remain loyal. The rightful place of power and ideals has nothing to do with us. We only need to stay loyal. Whatever our Overlord wants us to do, we do it. If the Overlord wants to be emperor, we’ll be the empire’s loyal soldiers. If the Overlord wants to make a movie, we’ll be professional extras and support staff. If the Overlord wants to be a Nameless, we’ll be loyal followers, volunteering to pay for the privilege of working.
Come on, author, the book is very good but updates are a bit slow.
