The Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States (Three-Volume Set)

I bought the physical book in 2018. I didn't expect that I could also read it on Tomato... The three books summarize it very comprehensively.

I translated it based on the historical books, with the official history as the skeleton, and polished the content that does not affect the main body. It's a good book!

This book is worth reading or listening to. However, the pronunciation of some names needs to be debated. The unit of weight of stone should be pronounced as dan.

I really like the Tao of Laozi, the benevolence of Confucius and Mencius, the wisdom of Yanzi, Wang Jian, Fan Ju, and Zhang Yi, the filial piety and loyalty of Jie Zitui, the patriotism of Qu Yuan and Lian Po, the perseverance of Baili Xi, the friendship of Guan Zhong and Bao Shuya, and the God of War. People slaughter Bai Qi, Sun Wu who does not seek glory and wealth, etc... In fact, every historical figure has advantages and disadvantages. There are many things worthy of our study and things to warn future generations. Maybe this is the meaning of reading.

The Chinese during this period were the most powerful. It is an unreplicable golden age in Chinese history. Chinese people in this era can easily die for their faith. Each exciting story and all-powerful characters. Change and unrest, money and fame, power and beauty, reform and ambition. Explain what the law of the jungle and terror are. Talents emerge in large numbers and the country is moving. China's Warring States Period is the most glorious page in the world's human history. Modern people will be greatly shocked by the powerful strength and extremely high resourcefulness displayed by the Chinese people. The Chinese in the pre-Qin period were the most powerful, followed by the Han, Tang and Song dynasties, and the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties were weaker. Chinese history is the history of the Chinese people from strength to weakness. The Chinese people in the pre-Qin period were clear-sighted, their deeds had consequences, and they sacrificed their lives for righteousness. The Chinese people in the Han and Tang Dynasties were strong and bold. There is also the unrepeatable romance of the Wei and Jin Dynasties. The Chinese people in the Song Dynasty were graceful and elegant. All Chinese in the Qing Dynasty were slaves.

How similar is the modern international society to that of the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period? I learn a lot of wisdom while thinking about it. The history of "Spring and Autumn and Warring States" is full of wonderful events and insightful passages. The Spring and Autumn Period began with the king of Zhou moving his capital. After that, various countries competed for hegemony and hundreds of schools of thought flourished. Isn't today's world turning from unipolar to multipolar? The author has polished this book without affecting the official history. It is considered a good book!

Escaped from Qin Shihuang's burning of books, "Zuo Zhuan" written by Zuo Qiuming of Lu State opened up the magnificent Spring and Autumn history for us, allowing us three thousand years later to appreciate the principles of our ancestors' conduct and conduct. To this day, the blood flowing in our bones, the inheritance of culture, and the character of the nation are all imprinted with inheritance! But it was said that after Wei Jizi sobered up, his entourage presented the letter left by Wei Shou. Wei Jizi took a look and saw that there were only a few lines on the slip: "When people move between heaven and earth, they think about propriety and deeds because of righteousness. They don't do it for benefits and don't feel guilty. My brother has acted for me, so brother should avoid it as soon as possible. 😢 😢 😢 Gongsun Chujiu pondered for a long time and asked Cheng Ying: "Which is more difficult, raising orphans or dying? " Cheng Ying said: "It is easy to die, but difficult to raise a baby. " Gongsun Chujiu said: "You bear the hard things, and I bear the easy ones. How about that?" " Duke Ao of Jin also heard about Cheng Ying's loyalty and wanted to appoint him as a doctor. Cheng Ying said: "The reason why I didn't die was because the orphan Zhao didn't grow up. Now that the Zhao family has taken revenge, how can I covet wealth and let Gongsun Chujiu die on his own? I went underground to repay him. "He then committed suicide and died. This spirit of living up to the trust, fulfilling the mission, and being extremely loyal should last forever!!! "The rolling Yangtze River flows eastward, and the waves wash away the heroes." Right and wrong, success or failure turn around in vain. The green hills are still there, and the sunset turns red several times. Many things in ancient and modern times are all talked about with laughter.

The Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period were important historical periods in which the foundation of Chinese traditional culture and various systems was laid. Based on rich historical materials and hundreds of classics, and based on chronological order, the author of this book completely describes the basic trend of this historical period and reproduces the situation of princes competing for hegemony, ideological contention and the emergence of talents. What is particularly touching is that the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period were the last period when China emphasized the aristocratic spirit. Today, Song Xianggong's behavior must have been a matter of saving face, but in the world, at least for Xianggong himself, this must have been an inherent requirement of etiquette.
