Liu Xiaoliu is out of luck: he lives during the Tianqi era of the Ming dynasty!
Implicated by his uncle, Liu Qiao, a senior officer in the Jinyiwei, he is arrested and thrown into the imperial prison, where he must face Xu Xianchun, one of the Five Tigers.
Escaping seems all but impossible, because behind Xu Xianchun stands the powerful eunuch Wei Zhongxian.
But Liu Xiaoliu manages to get away, and even lends a hand to Wang Wenyan, the strategist of the Donglin faction...
The crumbling ship of the late Ming is leaking from every side.
Outside, Nurhaci watches like a tiger poised to pounce. Inside, rebel leaders Gao Yingxiang, Li Zicheng, and their militias are on the rise.
Liu Xiaoliu must repair this battered ship and help it ride the winds, making its might known across the seas...
It won't be easy!
It all starts with the Jinyiwei!
Good book, clear and organized
The concept and writing are good, but I guess they don't understand military combat. First of all, there was no smokeless gunpowder in that era, and black powder would leave residue after being activated. What about shooting seven times in one breath? It was impossible to exist in that era. If you didn't clean the barrel of the gun, how could it be possible to fire continuously?
It's boring. The author should not put his own subjective consciousness into it and describe it objectively, instead of blindly thinking that the death of eunuchs is not a good thing.
Can't put it down, beautiful
