After Transmigrating into a Book, I Contend with the Male Lead for the Throne

Chen Ying transmigrates into a book one day and discovers that she's nothing but a stinky passerby, Character A.

She starts following the plot as the System instructs. She's an insignificant nobody, so her mission is simple: just confess her love to the male lead with tender affection, and she can leave the plotline and wait for the story to end.

Who knew things could go so wrong? The male lead, who was supposed to lash out at her, actually smiled. Chen Ying is stunned. Aaaaaah! Can someone tell her why this creep is looking at her with such a lecherous grin?
