Most of the ratings in Tomato are unreliable. The rating of this book is only 7, which is too low. Strictly speaking, this book cannot be regarded as a spy war novel. It mainly talks about fighting the Japanese army on the frontal battlefield, and the spy war plot only plays a connecting role.
This book describes the heroic and fearless spirit of the bloody Chinese people who were unwilling to be slaughtered and humiliated during that period of national life and death! No matter the two sides, the Kuomintang or the Communist Party, no matter the frontal battlefield or the underground spy war, no matter the soldiers or civilians, no matter the men and women... The description is so real and tragic that sometimes I can't bear to read it. Those vivid images of the martyrs who died are admirable and make people cry! The book also provides an objective and true description of the bestiality of the Japanese army when they invaded China. However, many works involving the Anti-Japanese War have weakened in this aspect.
The blood and gunpowder smoke have long since dissipated, but that period of history should not be forgotten, nor should the many lives sacrificed for national liberation be forgotten!
