Based on the author's own experiences, this novel follows the sons and daughters of Jiaodong farmers as they fight, live, and grow through the revolutionary wars. Liu, a young man from the countryside, joins the army and serves as a battlefield medic. Guided by a humanitarian spirit in the service of the revolution, he saves lives throughout campaigns across the country. After victory in the War of Liberation, he reunites with his comrades on the Korean battlefield, where they face a life-or-death trial amid blood and fire. Seen from another angle, this novel brings the true history of war back to life. It is another Assembly!
