Yu Jiu'er, a modern doctor, covets a jade pendant, then is startled by a cat's howl and falls from the 27th floor. By chance, she transmigrates to the Xuanyuan Continent, a land absent from the history books. Though she is ugly and plain, she is fortunate to have superb medical skills and the jade pendant to help her. She detoxifies herself and gains a new appearance, learns spiritual power through the pendant, wins imperial favor, studies alchemy and artifact crafting, and cures her beloved prince fiancé of his poison. Before she becomes powerful, her formidable fiancé and influential patients help her out whenever she gets into trouble. Once she grows strong, she and her beloved prince stand proudly above all others. Both leads are strong. She explores the Spirit Pagoda, braves demon caves, takes charge among the beastfolk, and enjoys a vacation with the elves.
