This book is very interesting. Junichiro Tanizaki explains his unique insights into Eastern culture and aesthetics from the perspective of "shadow". His views are unique and can make people think. Just like his views on electric lamps in Japanese-style rooms, it made me realize that sometimes we pursue modernity too much and ignore the beauty of tradition. This book gave me a deeper understanding of Eastern aesthetics and a greater appreciation for the beauty of those neglected traditions.
