"The Man Without Personality (Set of Volumes 1 and 2)" is Musil's unfinished posthumous work. It is a "spiritual novel" that plays an important role in the modernist literature of the twentieth century.
In 1999, at the request of the Bertelsmann Literary Publishing House and the Munich Literary House, a jury composed of thirty-three writers, critics and German language and literature experts each selected a list of the most important German novels of the 20th century. At the top of the list was "The Man Without Personality".
Reader comments
The behavior of the characters in the book may be a little strange, but it is something I can relate to. As the book says, we are all people without personality, observing everything around us in our own little world. This book made me think about what is true personality? 🤔
Speaks very clearly and listens well
Good, good, good
The book is very good, I will continue reading it.
Ordinary people and ordinary things give us a sense of how to be ordinary people and think of ordinary people. Beautiful\(//∇//)\! Recommend
I love reading books with clever content.
1 New newcomers in the later stage, shadowing together in the later stage, good work
