Waves

The writing style of this book is really unique, as beautiful as poetry! The inner monologue of each character is so profound, making me feel the emotional ups and downs of different stages of life. Woolf's writing style is simply stunning. Her descriptions of the waves and the sky are mesmerizing, and you can feel the sea breeze blowing as you read. This is not only a book, but also a wonderful journey about life and time.

I slowly finished reading Woolf's "The Waves". It was only when I read Chapter 9 that I realized why it is called a wave... A person's life may be like a wave coming back. My youth was pushed out by the tide, and then returned to the original seabed by the gravity of the tide. The shore I touched was withdrawn by gravity like a dream. So when I look back, it is just an inconspicuous wave. Watching other waves recede, I will also recede. They are as indistinguishable from each other as the waves. I just captured an idea in the book based on my instant inspiration. The biggest feeling this book gave me is that human life is really like a wave. What is the difference between our eventual death and the ebbing of the tide? Will we still make waves, because we understand the transient nature of each wave and imagine the coast as an end point? Or consider the tidal movement of the whole body as a life goal. Woolf wanted to express that human life is no different from the waves. The waves are the curves of life that we can stir up. When the tide recedes, they become the same but seem to be slightly different. This is what I understood when I read the first chapter of "Waves", and then I wrote it in my own words: "The dawn is too selfish and wants to open up the world. We are looking forward to the separation of the lines, so we see the play of the three: the ocean, the sky, and the waves. Where is their goal? Trying to touch this selfish person and pull him down to play with them, and we succeeded. We gradually see clearly what the sky and the earth should have looked like."

Reading this book especially exercises one's divergent thinking

After reading it, I was shocked that the six characters were so vividly created and could not be summarized by ordinary labels. Many places are thought-provoking. Especially at the beginning, the writer and lover of writing deeply empathizes. The writing is beautiful and elegant, and the description of the environment at the beginning of each chapter is delicate and highly impactful. A movie of waves appears in the mind. Today, people are amazed. There are so many places to learn that it is impossible to count. Life is full of ups and downs.
