Fifteen versions of the translated version of "The Case of Di Gong of the Tang Dynasty" are planned to be published. Zhang Ling, who has studied Gao Luopei for many years, is responsible for the translation and writes annotations and postscripts that are both academic and readable. It is currently the only version on the market that has been independently translated by one person.
The second volume of "The Case of Di Gong of the Tang Dynasty" includes "The Lacquer Screen Case", "Chaoyun Temple", "The Red Mansion Case", "The Royal Pearl Case" and "The Case Collection". Each volume is equipped with illustrations created by Gao Luopei himself, full of ancient charm and pleasing to the eye.
"The Royal Pearl Case" tells the story of the Dragon Boat Festival in 669, when Di Gong was appointed as the magistrate of Puyang County. With the help of Hong Liang, he solved two cases of the drummer being poisoned and the murder of Kou's wife Xiniang during the Dragon Boat Festival competition.

The murderer's heart is broken. Di Renjie's thinking is able to cut the creek path independently, solve cases without following conventional methods, and can also review cases, investigate and experiment to simulate crime scenes, create scenes, heighten the atmosphere, and use modern investigative methods.
I personally prefer reading novels about solving crimes. And this book looks very good, and the ideas are very closely related. I think the thought the Pearl Case gives people is the jealousy of people and the greed of money.
There are a lot of characters, and it may be a little confusing when you watch it, but the logic is very clear, the story is interesting, and the final twist is very interesting.
