From 1994 to 1995, Professor Pu worked as a Fulbright scholar at Harvard University and Dickinson's hometown for a year dedicated to Dickinson research. After returning to China, he continued to delve into multiple editions of Dickinson's poetry collections and foreign academic materials. Many poetry translations were revised repeatedly and drafted several times. This complete collection is divided into three volumes, and is a complete compilation of the two editions of Dickinson's poems edited by Johnson and Franklin. The differences between the two editions are explained with notes. In addition, Mr. Pu also researched the writing background of each poem in detail and appended it to the corresponding poem.
