This is the second time I have read this book. The first time I read it was 7 years ago. It shocked me so much that I had a stress reaction during that time. I was very scared when I saw the sparrows on the roadside. It left a very deep impression on me. I read this book again when I had free time in my freshman year this year. I am not as scared as I was when I was a kid, but I still find it shocking. I think this is a micro-horror novel, but it is still very interesting. I recommend it!
The plot of this book is so exciting! The author Stephen King has such a rich imagination, and Syd's experience in the story made my skin stand on end. Especially Maxin's words "cut him, I will stand here and watch", which made me feel his cruelty and evil. I admire Syd's strength and courage in facing his dark counterpart. This book is really worth reading!
