Li Chenggong returns from the city to his hometown and joins forces with Lin Ke'er, the village's First Secretary, to develop the local economy and revitalize the community. Together, they tackle the problem of elderly people and children left behind when residents leave home to find work. Along the way, the two grow close and fall in love.
