I don't know how many dreams a person has to have in his life. Turbid, deformed; frightening, sweet; concrete, hazy... Only childhood dreams are like a crystal clear stream. The small fish swam with their tails, the pebbles were colorful; the water lilies held their pink gills in reverie, and the duckweed drifted slowly with the water...
In the middle of the night when I dreamed of returning to my cradle, I often dreamed of silver dandelions and seven-colored soap bubbles flying in the air. What appeared repeatedly in the dream were clusters of nail grass on the edge of the well platform in the vegetable garden. The scientific name of nail grass is impatiens. Little girls in rural areas often use it to paint their nails red. Sometimes, its green stem stretches out and turns into a tall sesame tree; the bright red flowers on the nail grass suddenly turn into blue flowers on the sesame tree.
There was also a small white butterfly, not much bigger than a fingernail, whose wings opened and closed and flew to the center of the flower. Little bees with furry bellies often come to join in the fun, squeezing under the wings of white butterflies and stupidly burrowing into the hearts of flowers.

The writing in this book is so beautiful, and the author's descriptions of childhood dreams are so graphic that I feel like I can also see those beautiful scenes. And the storyline is very touching, especially the part where my father passed away, which was really sad. The author depicts the characters' emotions very delicately, making people feel for them. I think this is a book worth reading.
