Wan Yan Shu 1: a Dream of Gold

It's the second time I've read it, and I'd like to tell you that there's another book called Xin Xin Ji, which has been removed from the shelves on Tomato. It's also written by the author, and it's written by Grandma Duan Qingtian, and it's also a perfect masterpiece.

Five or six years ago, I read the prequel of this book - "The Heart of the Box". Even though I was deeply impressed by this book at the time, it is still the romance novel that I would most like to recommend many years later. Romance novels that I have been exposed to before may be like a bowl of white porridge, the taste will dissipate after eating for a while; or like tasting a small mouthful of sour lemon juice, after the sadness is over, it tastes more like an imposition. Only "The Heart of the Box" gave me a profound emotional conflict at the time. The author is very good at using extreme love to exaggerate strong hatred, but also mixes incomparable love with this hatred. She used the love between Duan Qingtian and the number one scholar that progressed from youthful to crazy, and the physical intercourse like tasting drugs to contrast the hatred that the number one scholar later became as insidious and deadly as a poisonous snake; while Duan Qingtian and Qi She lingered like waves for decades, with love, exhaustion, and commitment, and in the end they got Qi She's heart that was cut out. If it is the turmoil and stratagems between the government and the opposition that lead to the various erratic endings in "The Story of the Heart", then the tragedy of "The Book of Wan Yan" is even more regrettable, more lamentable, and more powerless. The plot background of "The Heart of the Box" is based on real society, while "The Book of Wan Yan" has elements of ghosts, gods and metaphysics. However, with only its elements, the protagonist is unable to reveal the secret, which adds to the sense of being tricked by fate and helpless. Zhan Shengyan loved Han Suqing, loved the irresistible fateful love when he was young, loved the deep and youthful feelings, loved that he broke his oath, but did not break his oath, accepted destiny, accepted the reversed destiny, but in the end it went against human will. Unlike Duan Qingtian, Zhan Shengyan failed to let go of his childhood love and get together with his later lover. Instead, he was trapped in an irresistible destiny with Han Suqing, whom he would never and could not let go of. Since reading "The Heart of the Box" until now, I have almost never read any romance novels, and I have never read any romance novels that deeply attracted me. Of course, romance novels are only used as a broad category to facilitate generalization. I think the content of this book is far beyond ordinary romance novels. By chance, I encountered "Xia Xin Ji" again, thus starting my encounter with "Wan Yan Shu". God's will allowed me to experience the entangled fate between them, and also allowed me to let out a long sigh at the end.

I got chills down my back after reading this, it's comparable to a horror story. The scene is extravagant and luxurious, and it depicts the love between a man and a woman, but there is a sense of oppression and suffocation everywhere. Sure enough, all ghosts are not as scary as human beings. It's a pity that Bai Feng was smart all his life and clearly had the choice, but in the end he chose the most doomed ending. It was as if he saw the epitome of the fate of Wang Xifeng and Second Sister You, and they were so sad together.

It's a very good book. The only dissatisfaction is that there are too many descriptions of the abuse of women. Bai Feng's end is too cruel. It would be great if more of this writing power could be given to Zhan.

The writing is very good, and it is so real and cruel. It made me so depressed that I felt physically and mentally uncomfortable. I really couldn't continue reading, and I would vomit if I continued reading. It was even scarier than a ghost story.

I watched it twice before coming back to watch the first one. When the Duke died, he said that he owed nothing to Bai Feng. I was really angry! Master, don't you owe her your sincerity? Bai Feng is not a good person, but the only person I have never owed anything to in my life is you! At the end of the book, there is no more black and white, no more right or wrong, and there is only a sigh left in this gray and chaotic world. Everything is fate, and no one can control it at all! Love and lust in this world are both curses. Whatever you expect will be taken away, and your love will eventually make you crazy. In the end, come naked and leave naked...

You are right, you must not touch these two people, Bai Feng and Zhan Shengning. There are many people like Bai Feng in modern times. They are very strong and will use all means to suppress and destroy anyone who may threaten her or who is simply unhappy with her, such as Shu Ying who refuses to admit defeat. Zhan Shengning is born with good looks and good academics, which makes him unfavorable to women. He does not eat soft rice and can have his own career. Unfortunately, his weakness allows him to overcome huge difficulties by sacrificing women. Zhan Shengning has a little more self-esteem than the people I know, which makes him feel guilty and self-destructive; he doesn't love Suqing and Zhenzhen very much, he just can't accept that he relies on women for revenge. More than ten years later, he thought he suddenly found his own salvation, but was destroyed by Bai Feng. He loves Bai Feng, but hates her for ruining his only salvation.

This is the most shocking novel I have read in many years. It can be called a masterpiece. The meticulous descriptions show the unspeakable suffering, pain, evil, evil, hatred, and obsession in the feudal society. At the same time, it also made me feel extremely depressed and happy. I am lucky that although I am a woman, I was born in a beautiful present, and all those sufferings have nothing to do with me in the end.

I accidentally read this book "The Book of Wan Yan". It's so good. I've read the first and second parts, but I haven't read the third one. I don't know if it's because it's not finished yet or because the Tomato novels haven't been put on the shelves. What a pity! The characters in the story are vividly portrayed, and the plot of the story is also interlocking. Bai Feng's ruthlessness and infatuation make people sigh, Wan Yi's kindness and stupidity make people angry, and Fo'er's ruthlessness and greed make people despise; what's even more surprising is that the story uses a lot of dialect and foul language to make those characters more vivid and linger in the readers' minds for a long time!

Why are so few people reading such a good book? Bai Feng is smart, beautiful and affectionate, and can be ruthless at critical moments. She is really a hero among women. I haven't finished reading it all yet. I am eager to see the ending, but also worried that the ending will not be what I want. This is the most conflicting book among the books I have read in the past two years.
