Egyptian Book of the Dead

Every morning, the Sun God is coerced by a demon called "Abobu" to rise up the mountain. The demon stays where the sun rises and may swallow the Sun God at any time. The sun god could not drive away the demon by his own power, but Zeus gave him a spell that could paralyze Abobu's limbs once recited. Although the gods treat all living beings with kindness and compassion, they cannot save the dead from the demons that live in "the corpses, souls and hearts of the dead." So the undead prayed to Zeus to help them and get protection from the spell. Inspired by the spells of Zeus, many ancient Egyptian priests wrote a large number of sacrificial texts. These sacrificial texts were widely used around 3700 BC, and they still enjoyed a high reputation until the first century. During the ancient Egyptian dynasty, Zeus was always regarded as the author of the "Egyptian Book of the Dead". All these verses come together to form the Sheban version of the Egyptian Book of the Dead.
