A devout believer in God, Leonardo Witler, an outstanding scientist at the European Organization for Nuclear Research, devoted his life to proving the existence of God through scientific means. He and his adopted daughter, the mysterious and charming scientist Vittoria, successfully created a powerful energy-antimatter in the laboratory.
Before this major discovery was announced to the public, Leonardo was brutally murdered in the laboratory. One of his eyes was gouged out by the murderer, and a mysterious mark - "Illuminati" - was printed on his chest! What's even more shocking is that the antimatter hidden underground disappeared. Harvard University semiotics expert Robert Langdon was invited by the head of the European Organization for Nuclear Research to investigate this mysterious symbol. On the day he arrived, the missing antimatter was discovered somewhere beneath the Vatican City. Antimatter leaving the laboratory will explode on its own after twenty-four hours. Today is the election day of the Catholic Pope. Catholic leaders from all over the world gathered in the Vatican City. The antimatter hidden underground is like a time bomb. If it cannot be found in time, the entire Vatican City will be wiped out in an instant.
The situation is urgent, and Langdon and Vittoria embark on an adventurous journey to the Vatican...

Although it is a combination of popular and serious novels, it generally prefers serious novels. It may not be emotionally engaging because of the translation, but the plot is compact and the content is rich. Overall, it is very good.
I read the original book three times after I bought it, then lost it. I read it here again this time. Every time I read the beginning, I couldn't stop. The plot was so attractive and the sense of immersion was so strong that I was deeply immersed in it. I didn't know whether it was a novel or a real thing. In short, it was super exciting!
The plot of the story is up and down again, with tight logic and yet no loss of suspense.
Check out Langdon's journey
Once you pick it up, you can't stop.
No paragraph is redundant, and there is no boring feeling when reading it. It's really great!
