I've been reading a lot of Keigo Higashino's books lately. This kidnapping game was released a long time ago, but this one is a new version. Regarding Higashino's routines, I have always felt that they are more narrative and more readable. His story should not be read as a suspense novel. But this story is very interesting. When I first started reading it, I felt it was a bit bland. The narrative was narrated from the first person perspective, but the story was about a false kidnapping case. The owner of this kidnapping case is Juri, the daughter of a rich man. In order to obtain ransom, the two colluded in a kidnapping case. There doesn't seem to be anything special about this story. But after reading the second half, the story takes a turn. The ending becomes very interesting. The ending is somewhat open-ended, but I also have to admire the hero's wisdom. Take this book to the next level! I also admire Keigo Higashino who wrote this novel. Every time I feel that his mind is very big and the stories he can come up with are very interesting. So this book will be very readable.

As a mystery novel, "Kidnapping Game" can actually be more exciting. I had read the domestic remake of "Ten Days Game" and was very interested in this book. I came to read the original work, but it was not as good as expected. Although the remake of the play is not so close to the original work in terms of character setting, it has a more interlocking sense of trap in terms of story narrative and causal logic. Overall, this novel is not that good as a work by Keigo Higashino, but it is still readable. Friends who like suspense reasoning can read it.

Higashino's early works are somewhat different from his more recent ones. The previous works still tended to be more crime-oriented, but I think the recent works can be read as ordinary novels, and they all focus on some human nature. For example, the recent "Magic Fetal Movement" and the previous "Mermaid House", and the novel "Kidnapping Game" was published in early 2004, so this novel has some of Dongye's previous original reasoning style. Of course this is not true reasoning, but this book is still very interesting. When I read the first half, I really wanted to give this book a three-star rating, but the fun of the book became apparent when I got to the twist.
