Writer Ben Mills returns to his hometown of Jerusalem's Linyuan Town after a long absence. The town is declining day by day. There are many old people and poor people here. Young people leave after graduating from high school and never return to their hometown. More than a year ago, unusual and strange things began to happen in the town: residents gradually "disappeared" mysteriously, and rumors spread among residents of nearby towns, giving the town a bad reputation as "haunted."
Ben Mills discovered that the gloomy old Masten House still stood on the cliff overlooking the town. A pretty good horror novel.
It's just that for people who have watched too many horror movies, it doesn't have such strong sensory stimulation.
You can spend a few hours leisurely with this book, immersed in the old-fashioned story of light and darkness.

You will be full of expectations after reading the first half, but you will still be slightly disappointed when the traditional vampire appears. A more terrifying and powerful evil monster never appeared.
I admire the hero's courage and persistence for the truth. This reminds me of Andy in "The Shawshank Redemption", who is equally determined to pursue freedom. And Stephen King's writing is very graphic, like watching a thriller movie. I can't wait to see how the story ends!
