Rose-eating, corpse-retrieving on foot. Qiao Jian, a corpse collector, takes a job from Qin Qi to investigate the death of a model in the Rose-Eating case and gets close to the suspect, Xiao Yan. Both men, Qin Qi and Xiao Yan, seem to have fallen for Qiao Jian and become jealous rivals. Just when Qiao Jian thinks the two men are harmless sweethearts, everything suddenly takes a turn! The two men appeared in her life not for her, but for the child she adopted, Xiao Wu. When Xiao Wu mysteriously disappears, the three team up to investigate, and Qiao Jian finally learns the truth the two men have been hiding. A book of ancient lore, a seed of immortality spanning ten thousand years.
Qiao Jian, who often travels on the Ao Tai line, hides a secret, which actually allows her to start a story with the cold Qin Qi. What I didn't expect was that Qin Qi had planned everything early, and he remained calm even in the face of life and death. I like the various types of fighting scenes written by the author. They are tricky and tense, spectacular and exciting, and lifelike, as if I am watching the fight live. Compared to Qin Qi's coldness, I prefer the dandy Xiao Yan. Although he is playful and funny and is Qin Qi's enemy, he agrees with Qin Qi in the overall situation and chooses to protect Qiao Jian in a dilemma. Qiao Jian was angry at Xiao Yan's actions, and also saddened by Qin Qi's disappearance. Fortunately, Cherry Blossom Lane was fragrant again for another year. (Reading time: 2026.02.09)
It's great to read. The author's writing is as good as ever, but it's too short and not enough to read.
Not bad! The ending is a bit too fast
