Zen is one of the many sects of Chinese Buddhism and the most vital one among them. To date, it still represents the mainstream of Chinese Buddhism. The actual founder of Zen was Master Huineng (638-713). By the end of the Tang Dynasty and the Five Dynasties, five sects and seven sects of Zen were established one after another. Great virtues and eminent monks from all walks of life in the jungle came on stage one after another to perform their skills, shouting at the Buddha and cursing the ancestors with sticks and shouts. Zen thought and doctrine were brilliant, and Zen words and deeds had different styles. It entered the heyday of hundreds of schools of thought competing for victory.

Each of the five schools and seven sects in Zen Buddhism tells the secrets of Buddhism, and is highly sought after by contemporary people. People hope to gain unprecedented peace from Zen meditation, or to find a paradise for themselves in complicated emotional crises; they all say that hell and heaven can be achieved in just one thought. What those Zen stories convey is not only the normal state of harmony, joy, peace and fearlessness for everyone, but also contradictions and conflicts. However, through continuous practice, they realize that imperfection is the normal state of life. Thereby, I have an epiphany and understand the wonderful function of Zen Buddhism.
This book is comprehensive in content and thorough in explanation. It is a book that systematically introduces Zen stories. "The heart has no worries. Therefore, there are no worries. There is no fear. Stay away from upside-down dreams and achieve nirvana." Zen Buddhism is the mainstream of Chinese Buddhism, and its philosophy is worth reading and pondering over and over again. The language of this book is easy to understand, and behind the simple language there is a thought-provoking philosophy. If you feel anxious or confused due to the heavy work and study tasks in real life, this book is a good read, which can give you calmness and gain mental strength while reading.
Let's not talk about Zen Buddhism for now. Many of the stories in the book come from real life and are of great practical significance. It is also a guide and important reference for life! If you learn more from life, you will take fewer detours, fall into fewer pitfalls, and live a more comfortable life. [Bookshelf plus one][bookshelf plus one][bookshelf plus one]
