The Internet's Most Wanted: The Goofy Sniper's Sweetheart

[Long-form campus writing contest entry]

The enemy team will reach the battlefield in five seconds. I only need one shot to hit you right in the heart.

[Uninhibited, goofy queen of snipers x scheming, suave professional sniper king]

Blurb:

Breaking news! The national sniper champion and the clutch sniper king are dating?

As soon as the rumor broke, both fanbases shut down in despair. The onlookers arrived late but right on time:

[Well, would you look at that. One headshot, and she fell for someone who never misses?]

[Is this the legendary “one shot decides life or death, then they both kneel in worship”?]

[Oh my god! Has everyone gone crazy? Isn't the main point that they're both men?]

Su Wanwan had just been taken out with one shot by her boyfriend again. Furious, she yanked off her voice changer and switched on her camera.

“You think this is a dating game?

As if! You should be worried about ending up dead at the end of my gun!

I, the national server's notorious sturgeon, advise a certain professional player surnamed Song not to ride my coattails for clout!”

The onlookers dropped their popcorn...

Wait... The notorious sturgeon is actually a pretty girl with twin tails and baggy shorts?

While everyone was still stunned, a lazy voice drifted through the livestream:

“Wanwan, I can see you running for your life in my eight-times scope. You know I don't just mean the scope, right?”

Su Wanwan's image as a sniper goddess was in tatters. She stuck out her rear and shouted:

“Song Xingye, if you've got the guts, face me in a one-on-one sniper duel!”

Song Xingye lowered his head and flashed a seductive smile at the camera.

“My Wanwan hits hard with every shot and gets into your soul with every snipe. I might as well change my name to Song Headshot tomorrow. Don't hold it against me, everyone.”

The onlookers: “…”

Giao, that was a serious display of affection!
