Journey to the West: I Took Charge of the Journey to the West and Destroyed the Tathagata Buddha

“The Human Realm's boss has arrived at the Great Thunderclap Temple! Old Tathagata, get out here and welcome him!”

Sun Wukong stood at the entrance of the Great Thunderclap Temple and shouted like thunder.

A quarter of an hour passed, but the temple's gates remained shut.

Sun Wukong returned to Li Changsheng, his face flushed with shame, and said:

“Boss, Old Sun failed to carry out the task you gave me. Please punish me.”

Li Changsheng patted Sun Wukong on the head. “It's fine!”

Then he called toward the Great Thunderclap Temple: “Open.”

The gates opened. Li Changsheng swept his hand through the air, and Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie, and Sha Monk each led a force of demons in an assault on the Great Thunderclap Temple.
