Zhou Zuoren was a great master of his generation. Apart from the political dust of being used by the Japanese pirates in Peiping during the Anti-Japanese War, Zhou Zuoren had extraordinary writing skills in prose and academic writing, and his achievements in prose were even higher than those of his brother.
This book is very interesting! Zhou Zuoren regards food as a window to observe the world and understand people's sentiments, and also incorporates his own life experience, which is quite interesting. I like the stories about wild vegetables in his books, they feel very cordial. And he is very knowledgeable about food from all over the world, just like a "gourmet". However, sometimes he writes too elegantly, which is a bit difficult for me, a junior high school student, to understand. Overall, this book is very good and gave me a new understanding of food.
This book is full of pictures and texts, which makes it interesting to read, but the types tend to be more local snacks from Jiangsu and Zhejiang.
Speaking of eating flowers, there is also kapok, but considering that it is often used as an auxiliary ingredient for soups, it is probably on the same level as rose osmanthus.
The San people of Zhou Zuoren are no worse than those of Zhou Shuren.
