Heroes of the Republic of China

"Heroes of the Republic of China" begins with the death of Emperor Cixi and Emperor Guangxu in 1911. The three-year-old Emperor Puyi came to the throne, and his father, the regent Zaifeng, took power and established a ruling group controlled by the royal family. Zaifeng first dismissed his political opponent Yuan Shikai and drove him out of Beijing, continuing to implement the high-pressure policy of dictatorship. But the revolutionary storm has swept across the country, and twelve provinces have declared independence. The Qing government had no choice but to appoint Yuan Shikai again and use the new Beiyang Army in his hands to fight and pull back the revolutionary army. Yuan Shikai also took this opportunity to coerce the Qing government to hand over all power, and he became the Prime Minister of the Cabinet. In 1912, Shanghai was recovered and the revolutionary army captured Nanjing. The situation was excellent. Sun Yat-sen took office as the first interim president of the Republic of China and called on the revolutionaries to launch a desperate struggle against Yuan Shikai, setting off a greater revolutionary storm across the country.
