Yang Guowei: The male protagonist. An orphan. By a twist of fate, he revives inside a thousand-year-old corpse. After absorbing an unknown liquid from the coffin, all his bodily functions recover. His pores automatically absorb the pale green gas in the tomb chamber, filling him with energy and causing his body to mutate. Given a new life, he is no longer the blood-and-flesh killing machine without feelings that he once was. Now he is a Corpse King who can experience the warmth and coldness of the human world.
