Great Tang: Li Shimin Exposed My Identity as the Crown Prince

Li Jie, the legitimate eldest son of the Tang dynasty, is of impeccable lineage.

He suffered from a brain disorder as a child and was unable to inherit the crown prince's position, so Li Er sent him to live with a foster family outside Chang'an.

For twelve years, His Majesty Li Er never once came to see him.

Then one day, Li Jie came up with something called the curved-blade plow.

Then one day, he came up with something called a face mask.

Then one day, he invented black powder.

From that day on, a man called Old Wang and a woman called Changsun often came to visit Li Jie's home.

The man was always bragging that he would give Li Jie a kingdom of his own.

The woman was always bragging that she would find Li Jie a whole group of the most beautiful girls in the Tang dynasty.

Faced with these two lunatics, Li Jie said outright, “Keep bragging. Can I be emperor?”

The man called Old Wang replied calmly, “Why not?”
