"Shamo Valley" is a novel about love, but also about "observation" and "awareness". Three women met in the Xiamo Valley at the intersection of time and space. Each one has their own story: Ruzhen once pursued true love wholeheartedly, but always ended up with heartbreak. Fortunately, she later met the person who solved her knot in her own small teahouse, and went to the Xiamo Valley to meet her true love; Yin is a stage actor and director. He has witnessed all the glamorous occasions. He once stayed away from the hustle and bustle, got married and had children, but was finally unwilling to spend his life in trivial daily life. Queti has always lived in the Xiamo Valley, living a down-to-earth life, hardworking and tolerant, not seeking love, but meeting his lover.
The characters are in a calm and detached perspective, with no self-pity or complaints. They accept everything that happens calmly and think about and transform it. Whether Chetti accepts the infinite decision, or truly accepts the changes that happened to her, or Yuanyin accepts her emotional situation, they adopt the same attitude: accept, accommodate, and at the same time use their own strength to restrain.
Xiamo Valley is a symbol of the ideal hometown of love. Is love all about being together? Is there a better, more tolerant way? Can one-sided persistence achieve ultimate perfection? This book explores the different faces and possibilities of love and survival through the stories of three women.
Reader comments
The language style is unique, and the plot construction has a sense of overlapping time and space, which needs to be savored carefully. However, the story is a bit bloody, there is a reading threshold, and the characters are difficult to sort out. Its rich depiction of the spiritual world in its physical form may be misleading to the mentally immature. Although it has shortcomings, it has a unique charm. Since this is Baby Annie's transformation work, I think it is the result of a compromise between Zen and business. I didn't have any expectations at first, but after reading it, I found that besides the language style I really liked, I also had some insights. Those with mature minds can read it.
"Accept, accommodate, and fight with your own strength"
Every time I read this book, I feel very peaceful. I have read this book many times, and I will gain something different every time I read it.
As we grow older, we also undergo many changes.
I have liked Qingshan for many years, and I hope there will be more of her books here.
The writing is very good, the text is clear and elegant, but many of the values and religious concepts in the book are not acceptable to me. Regarding the concept of love in it, I am still too conservative. After reading this book, I can experience many beautiful scenery, as well as the emotional expression and exploration of different people. I am very satisfied.
This book explores the diversity of love and survival from a unique perspective. The characters have distinct personalities and different experiences. Ruzhen's persistence, Yuanyin's thinking, and Queti's forbearance are all impressive. The storyline is fascinating, interweaving reality and dreams, and is full of poetry. It made me think about the nature of love and life choices. Worth reading!
It's well written, but I can't enjoy it
When I was in vocational high school, my classmate had a copy. After reading it, I also bought a paper copy myself.
The otherworldly Buddhist system cleanses people's hearts.
