Whether they are emperors, generals, or talented scholars and poets, they all have infatuated desires and cannot get what they want. Li Zongsheng once wrote a song, in which there is a sentence that directly touches people's hearts, "If you want it but can't get it, what will happen to you?" Li Longji, Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, wanted a lot. As an emperor, he wanted to have an eternal kingdom. As a man, he wanted to have a beautiful woman in his arms. As a father, he wanted his son to be filial. However, destiny and people's aspirations often run counter to each other, which is the tragedy of almost everyone.

The description is delicate. From the author's writing, I saw another side of many poets. They are not as tall and omnipotent as I thought before. Li Bai, Du Fu and Wang Wei, who are all familiar from textbooks, look back on their lives with stumbling blocks, brilliance and failure. Liu Zongyuan's dream of regaining his lintel did not come true after all. Li Shangyin, who was good at writing love poems, also stumbled in the aspect of friendship. Young Xuanzong may just want to keep his first child. Yuan Bai's feelings are still touching.

After reading it, I really cried to death about the previous poets such as Wang Wei and Du Fu. Especially Du Fu, his life was like that, and he still thought about the poem "There are tens of thousands of vast buildings, and the poor people in the world are all happy", which is really great. When I saw later, Li Bai was worried about his friend Wu Zhizhi being lonely, so he dug him out of the grave, cut off the flesh and kept the bones with him. I really laughed to death.
