Returning to the Starry River from a Thousand Miles Away

As a girl, Meng Xiaoxing dreamed of galloping across the world with a sword at her side, a carefree and unrestrained wanderer. But when she looks back, all she sees are the piled-up corpses of those she once knew, their bones heaped high. And now she stands atop the throne of power, while the people kneel before her.

Her childhood dream of riding forth with a sword in hand finally wakes from its slumber amid the dust raised by iron hooves.

If she could do it all over again, Meng Xiaoxing would probably choose from the very beginning to cast aside her sword and take up her butcher's blade!

Kill them all!

[Historical power struggle + serious drama + brief childhood interludes. Not a conventional wish-fulfillment novel. Niche writing style. If that's not your thing, don't read.]
