After a busy day, you get home and let your true self out:
Loosen your clothes, undo the buttons, toss off your bra... What a relief!
On a weekend at home, you find yourself full of questions:
Where did the other sock go? This is so hard!
On the rare occasion you go out for meditation and yoga, you find yourself unable to relax:
Did I turn off the gas? Did I turn off the tap? Is my period about to start?
Xiaowei is an ordinary city girl. Like us, she hates taking off her makeup, going to the dentist, filling ice trays, organizing computer files, and untangling all kinds of knotted string... She is genuine and optimistic, openly embracing the everyday realities of being a woman: shaving her legs, getting emotional during her period, always telling her boyfriend to wait five more minutes before she leaves, and never having a sense of direction. She sees the world in her own way and lives a colorful life. She reminds us that, no matter what, we should stay cool today.
I especially hate that she always makes her boyfriend wait for five minutes before going out, but this also makes me see my own reflection. The stories in the book are very humorous and made me laugh out loud while reading. I think every girl can find her own shadow in Xiao Wei. This book tells us that even if there are many annoying things in life, we can face every day coolly in our own way, just like Xiao Wei!
