Three Heroes and Five Righteousnesses

The novel tells the story of Bao Zheng, during the reign of Renzong in the Northern Song Dynasty, who, with the help of many chivalrous men, tried strange cases, rectified unjust cases, and how the chivalrous men eradicated violence and brought peace to justice. The book creates an image of an upright official who is selfless and unafraid of power, fully embodying the aspirations of the people at the bottom. Among them, plots such as unfair imprisonment, "guillotine Pang Yu", and "removal of the vassal king" have exposed the darkness of feudal rule to a certain extent and demonstrated the fighting spirit of the people. The book is interspersed with a large number of righteous actions of knights who draw their swords to help when they encounter injustice, showing their essence of being great knights and serving the country and the people.
