Sitting on an inconspicuous post was a half-human, half-god figure who had no official position and did not like to show up on any occasion. Most of the time, he just walked in the small courtyard of Hujiapu, clasping his hands, but the county magistrate listened to his orders; the mayor listened to his orders; the provincial governor gave him three points of thin noodles; the president of the provincial bank came to pay his birthday, but just said "It's better to disappear" outside the yard and then went home.
