Museum of Trickery

As I rarely come into contact with crime mystery works, I cannot judge the quality of this work. But I always feel that it is somewhat similar to the routine of "Ming Ke", except that the introduction becomes a museum of criminal information. Human pessimism is not universal. Some things are indeed confusing to the authorities but clear to bystanders. After detectives solve the crime, many people are unable to understand the murderer's motive. Just to prove whether there is a blood relationship, the life of a good young man with both good character and academic performance was wasted. This kind of logic is so absurd - but it is so reasonable for the prisoner. However, whether it is out of love, hatred, or entanglement - covering up should never be done; the truth will eventually be revealed to the world. The Museum of Conspiracy, using logical thinking as dense as thorns, slowly uncovers unsolved cases that have disappeared into the sea decades ago...

Love it. Love it. Every story is wonderful. My route is Absolute Alibi → Alphabet Mystery → Here Again. Along the way, I have become more and more familiar with Mr. Oyama Seiichiro's writing style, but I am still surprised by his usual ending twists. Whether it is a sister mystery or an ex-girlfriend mystery, I like the stories he writes very much. They are so delicate and hard not to like them. Of course, if ranked, Y's kidnapping must be the most powerful. After all, it made me shed a lot of tears. Then there is the revenge diary for my ex-girlfriend. I like it.

The setting of the book is very interesting. It investigates unsolved cases decades later, which not only solves the problem of why such cases were not solved back then (the technology was backward at the time), but also solves the problem of why the cases can be solved now (the technology has advanced now, coupled with the strong reasoning ability of Hoshiki Saeko). Hoshiro Saeko is a typical easy-chair detective who relies entirely on Satoshi Terada's visits and investigations. The advantage of this setting is that it makes Hoshiro Saeko look very powerful, but the disadvantage is that even though her guess can connect the existing evidence, there is still a lack of tangible physical evidence, and there is a subtle sense of mutter, which makes me question: Is her statement really the only possibility? Or is it just a possibility that happens to explain the mystery, and the author "makes" it become the solution to the mystery? Ignoring this sense of nonsense, the story is still quite impressive. Each story has a twist that is beyond expectations (at least not guessed at the beginning), and there is indeed foreshadowing. This book is a work that cannot be missed for readers who like Japanese mysteries. It is also a very good choice for readers who want to get into Japanese mysteries.

Hoshiki Saeko's reasoning ability is really shocking, and the ending of the story always has unexpected reversals. However, the basis of these logical reasoning always puts the murderer on the optimal solution. What should the murderer do, what is the best thing to do, but what if it is not? In the first case, two people who knew the truth died. There was no physical evidence, let alone witness. Even if Scarlet Saeko deduced it, the murderer could actually evade it. After all, there was no evidence, no one saw it, and no one could testify. The policeman pretended to be the president to hand over the money. The same goes for the second case. The parties involved are all dead, even if they are still alive. , In the absence of evidence, he can definitely say that these are all false. After all, no one saw Maiko killing Okumura entering and leaving Okumura's house, and no one saw Maiko committing suicide. There is also the temperature of the air conditioner, and no one can prove it. Of course, it is not that there is anything wrong with the reasoning. Hiiro Saeko's reasoning is wonderful, but the evidence is slightly lacking, so I give it four stars.

Each of the five cases has its own characteristics, and the reasons for committing the crimes are unexpected. Under the reasoning of Hiseki Saeko, the murderers are revealed. My favorites are the second case "Revenge Diary" (write a revenge diary for your ex to hide the truth of the incident) and the third case "Until the Day of Death" (last words confess in exchange for murder, screen and speculate on the real case).

Just read this book for the plot and don't worry about the characters, plots, motivations or anything like that.
