Collector of Secrets

Let's review the five stories one by one. Please note that there are spoilers below. The first one can't be said to be good, but it's not bad either. It is somewhat interesting to speculate that "there is a pocket watch", but "the pocket watch blocks bullets" and the motive are a bit beyond imagination. The second one, Xu Wei? Department of misunderstanding? Don't know how to classify it. Personally, I think it is the most outrageous in the whole book, but it is also my second favorite. Third, the motive for the murder was too outrageous, and it was outrageous to switch the body so that it would not be discovered, but it was a good red herring, at least I was really tricked. The fourth one is my favorite in the whole book. The logic is relatively strict, and the analysis of the "motivation for creating the secret room" is also quite interesting. The fifth one, in my opinion, is the worst in the book. Not to mention the inexplicable interpersonal relationships, let's just say that the murderer's reason for committing the crime was entirely coincidental: he happened to see a friend who was about to commit suicide, the friend happened to come to the accomplice's hometown, it happened that the murderer and the accomplice's shoes were the same and new, and it happened that it snowed at the same time for two days in a row... The overall look and feel of the book is not as good as Museum of Conspiracy 1, but it is not bad either. The setting of "Secret Chamber Collector" allows the author to stuff unrelated cases from different eras into one book. This book has "terrible" cases that lowered my overall evaluation of it, but there are also cases that I found interesting. Overall, I give it four stars.
