This is a flavorful collection of essays about food and life, filled with girlish elegance. A bowl of egg fried rice in his childhood, the kebabs he had with him in his youth, the fish head soup brought by his mother when he returned home, the oil-fried chili that his best friend is good at, the "most delicious" claypot rice cooked for his loved ones... Their taste, color, shape, and the people and things related to them, as the memory of taste buds blossoms, makes people unforgettable. The wonderful descriptions of food in the article arouse the appetite, and the stories and experiences are a feast for the soul.

I especially like the section about fat intestines in the book, it's very interesting! But I hate those people who judge people by their appearance. It's really boring to scare away Chongqing girls just because they like to eat fat sausages. The father-in-law in the story is also quite interesting. Although he is rude, he is quite cute when they drink wine and eat fat sausage together. This book made me feel the beauty and warmth in life, like a feast for the soul.
A relatively interesting and relaxing read. There are just some issues with some of the views/values, so read it if you have a choice.
It is a small and refreshing book, and each chapter is not too long. You can read one chapter in just one meal. How can there be so much meaning in life? Find someone you like, eat many meals together, do trivial things, and live a lifetime of fun.
Eat firewood, rice, oil and salt, and taste the fireworks in the world
I really like the description of food in it. It makes people feel that the author must love life very much. I finished reading it and I still have more to say.
A very refreshing book with a strong sense of life
Finished reading one after another😊
A realistic version of China on the tip of the tongue
The writing is excellent, and the food is connected with people's emotions, giving it a special taste.
Food and life complement each other, are very smoky, warm and healing
