Huyan Jingde is a student from a single-parent family, currently in Class 3, Grade 11, at M Middle School.
Huyan Jingde’s father was a vendor who slaughtered chickens and ducks. Two years ago, he contracted the H3N9 bird flu by accident and died despite treatment, leaving Huyan Jingde and his mother with a mountain of debt.
Students these days are so snobbish. They suck up to the rich and powerful, but bully those who are poor. What a sad state of affairs.
