Synopsis

College student Zhang Yangyu works part-time as a Taoist priest and obtains a tube of divination lots. To his surprise, it allows him to transmigrate into the world of Journey to the West.

There, he can use magical artifacts from the real world and command all the gods in the heavens with his divination lots!

When he first arrives in the world of Journey to the West, Zhang Yangyu amazes the Three Realms with Taoist incantations, bringing torrential rain to the Wuji Kingdom. This forces Tathagata Buddha to bring forward his plans for the Journey to the West!

He travels back and forth between two worlds.

In the world of Journey to the West, Zhang Yangyu spreads Taoism and suppresses Buddhism, driving Tathagata Buddha mad with rage.

In the real world, Zhang Yangyu reveals his divine power to humanity and spreads Taoist teachings far and wide, becoming a modern-day Daoist Ancestor.

Buddhist Cultivation Novels: Reborn as a Buddha or Born Into Another World as One

It could be about someone reborn as a Buddhist figure in the Primordial World, or someone from that world being reborn in another realm and cultivating Buddhism, and so on. As long as it's about Buddhist cultivation.
