This book selects 36 prose works by Liu Liangcheng. Liu Liangcheng observes the home he lives in from his own unique perspective and way. Everything around him, including bugs, birds, ants, dogs, trees, sunshine, wind, earth walls... And people, are all extraordinary existences in his writings. He writes about the things in his life, the people around him, and the state of life. His writing is simple and rational, full of philosophical thoughts but not rigid and serious. Seemingly ordinary things contain deep meanings. It's an impressive and memorable read.

I think that since I came from the countryside, I have deep and unspeakable feelings for the countryside, and I also have deep thoughts about the countryside. Unfortunately, I cannot express it in my own language and words until I read about Liu Liangcheng. Although we live in different areas, I felt that he is me! At least what he wrote was me!
I learned about Liu Liangcheng's novel from "The Long Reader". After listening to his story, I felt that it was very similar to my experience, so I became interested in reading this book. For a person who is far away from his hometown and comes to the city to work hard, his hometown will always be the softest cloud in his heart. As a wanderer who studies abroad, it is self-evident that my hometown feels to me. Highly recommended for reading.
The text of this book is simple but full of philosophical thoughts, which impressed me deeply. The author observes everything in life from a unique perspective and gives ordinary things deep meaning. Just like this excerpt, which describes the harmonious coexistence of man and nature, it makes me feel the tolerance of the earth. I kind of hate those little bugs that leave pimples on "me" though. Overall, the writing style of this book is very unique and the writing style is very good. It is worth reading.
Liu Liangcheng's writing is simple, and the villages he depicts are familiar to everyone who has lived in rural areas. Those common rural things were arranged by him one by one, making them really real and arousing people's strong nostalgia. The rural life and things that are not far away, and the faint sadness revealed in Liu Liangcheng's words, make people feel the powerlessness of the passing of life and time. It is a pity that the generation who grew up in the city can no longer understand the countryside he wrote about, nor the traditional rural China.
Although we are of different ages and different environments, we can still relate to some things.
A collection of selected works known as "China's last essayist in the 20th century" and "rural philosopher"✧*. ٩(ˊωˋ*)و✧*.
It's so beautiful, and it can warm any general mood.
