O. Henry is indeed the earliest master of imagination~~Every novel has a reverse ending. Most of the protagonists in his works are little people with ordinary circumstances. They are still full of hope in the face of poverty, they are still yearning for the noble when they are in trouble, they pursue wealth but they will never resort to any means... The reversal in desperate situations makes people's hearts warm. They may have some shortcomings, but they all have the most honest qualities. Reading O. Henry's novels, my mood can't help but become peaceful. Don't be afraid when you encounter difficulties. You may get unexpected surprises after working hard.
Both "The Police and the Hymn" and "The Gift of the Magi" are classics that have been widely praised by later generations; O.
