This book is very practical! It explains the theory and techniques of screenwriting very clearly, and it is not difficult for a dad of two children like me to understand. As the book says, drama has something in common with other art forms, but it also has its own characteristics. I think of the two children in my family. Although they are both my babies, their personalities are completely different. I think screenwriters need to understand each character in depth like they understand their own children in order to tell the story well. I hate flat, personalityless characters the most, and the methods of creating distinctive characters mentioned in this book are really helpful.
