A Grand View of Ancient Proverbs

This book "A View of Proverbs Through the Ages" is really interesting! It is like a treasure house full of wisdom. Each proverb is short and concise, but it can convey profound truths. I especially like the explanation in the book of "Don't tell things when they are done, and don't admonish them when things are done". It reminds me of the wisdom in The Analects of Confucius. However, I kind of hate those self-righteous people in books who always misunderstand the meaning of proverbs. This reminds me of the characters in "Fortress Besieged", who always have various misunderstandings about their words. Overall, this book not only allows you to learn a lot of useful proverbs, but also keeps you thinking while reading.
