Great Tang: I Mistook Li Er for My Father-in-Law From the Start

Chu Xuan transmigrates to the Tang dynasty.

After binding himself to a daily sign-in System and spending several years as an idle layabout, Chu Xuan decides to fulfill the marriage arrangement his father made for him.

According to the betrothal agreement, Chu Xuan visits his future in-laws to propose, but mistakes Li Shimin and Empress Zhangsun, who are traveling incognito, for his prospective father- and mother-in-law.

Chu Xuan: “Father-in-law, these are potatoes. They can solve the Tang dynasty's famine. Sell them to that rascal Li Er and make him pay through the nose!”

Li Shimin: “...!”

Chu Xuan: “Father-in-law, this is a curved-beam plow. It can double the harvest for Tang farmers. Sell it to that rascal Li Er and make him pay through the nose!”

Li Shimin: “...!”

Chu Xuan: “Father-in-law, these are horseshoes. They can let Tang cavalry sweep across the grasslands. Sell them to that rascal Li Er and make him pay through the nose!”

Li Shimin: “...!”

One day, Chu Xuan is ennobled as a prince and summoned to the palace to pay his respects. Li Shimin smiles and says, “My dear son-in-law, come take a look. Do you know who I am?”

Chu Xuan: “...!”
