The plot of this book is very compact, making me feel like I was in the Northeast during the Anti-Japanese War. I like the heroes in the book very much. They are brave and fearless, fighting wits and courage with the Japanese invaders. However, I kind of hate the father who makes my mother cry all day long. How could he make his family so sad? I hope he can change in the sequel of the story. Overall, this is a book well worth reading.

Good looking, 🈶rustic flavor

The place where I went to the countryside was the Wutong River Farm Branch. It was November 1968 when I went to the countryside. Our farm was a labor reform farm, next to Baoquanling Farm, and belonged to the Construction Corps. Reading this novel reminded me of our life when we went to the countryside, and it had a great influence on my work training in the rest of my life.
