I Only Want to Be a Palace Maid, Not a Consort

The man I loved married someone else, and I wasn’t the bride.

He used my painting to become a royal consort, making me stop believing that true love existed.

Then he came along and took me from the mud to paradise. I listened to my heart and became his woman. With him, the chirping of insects and birds became the most beautiful music. If he was willing to cherish me, I was willing to marry him.
